Aww, what a cutie! I used to have a hamster just like that -- his name was Pumpkin. Strangely though, that's now the name of my cat. *g*
I think you guys have more animals than we do. I will not show my kids this 'cause I told them you can't have rodents and/or birds in the same house as cats. :v)
Is that a hamster? My son really wants something small like that but I'm not too sure. Are they pretty easy to take care of Kate?
Stacey, it is a hamster. When we were at the pet store, I just asked the sales guy straight up to give me a "nice sweet tempered" hamster as I pointed to the kids (for their sake!). He said he had the perfect one. She is such a sweet thing - and I'm not just saying that. They are easy to take care of. Once you get used to holding them, they are quite enjoyable. Just change the bedding once a week (plus I wash out the cage) and give them some TLC!
